Routt Catholic High School is a Catholic coeducational high school with a student enrollment of 128 in grades 9-12. Located in Jacksonville, Illinois, a small community of 20,000, Routt serves students from public school District 117 as well as surrounding farm communities.

Routt admits students of any race, nationality and religion without discrimination ith respect to ability or achievement levels, believing that all have a right to a Christian education. Out-of-parish Catholic students make up 9% of the student body and students of other faiths total 28%. 14% of Routt students are eligible for free or reduced lunch.

Grades are issued four times during the school year. Students are required to earn 25
credits for graduation. GPA and class rank are based on semester grades in all subjects
except driver education, and library/art/computer/science lab assistant courses.

CURRICULUM:
We believe that students preparing for the world of work need the same basic knowledge and skills as those preparing for college, so the curriculum is essentially the same for all with varying degrees of difficulty. Ninety-five percent of the students at Routt are enrolled in a college preparatory curriculum; of these, forty-nine percent are following an honors sequence.

Routt's curriculum offerings include four years of Religion, English, Mathematics, Science,
Social Studies, Spanish, Art, and Music. Routt also offers Business/Computer courses in
Keyboarding, Computer Applications, Web Design, Accounting, Marketing, Multi-Media,
Computer Programming and Informational Processing.
The following courses are weighted: AP English, Honors English 3, Honors Calculus, Dual
Credit College Calculus, Dual Credit College Algebra, Dual Credit College Trigonometry,
Honors Physics, Honors Spanish IV, and AP US History. Any grade below a "C" will not carry
an accelerated grade.
Advanced students may enroll at one of the local colleges to earn college credit.

2 credits in Foreign Language
4 credits in English
1 ½ credits in Physical Education/Health

3½ credits in Social Studies - U.S. History, World History, Geography, Government and Consumer Economics are required
