Routt Welcomes New Guidance Counselor

Routt Catholic High School is pleased to welcome Paula Herget!

Mrs. Herget will be serving as Routt's Guidance Counselor, serving students four days a week. Mrs. Herget comes to Routt with more than 30 years of experience in the education field. For the past 14 years she has served as the Guidance Counselor for Jacksonville High School.

Mrs. Herget attended St. Francis Xavior elementary school in Jerseyville, Illinois and graduated from Jerseyville High School. She has a B.S. in Physical Education from Eastern Illinois University, and M.S. in Adapted Physical Education from Illinois State University and an M.S. in Counseling from the University of Illinois at Springfield. She is a Licensed Certified Counselor from the State of Illinois and is National Board Certified.

In addition to serving as a Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Herget has several years of experience as a Physical Education instructor and as a coach.

Mrs. Herget and her husband, Jim, live in Jacksonville. They have four grown daughters. In her spare time, Mrs. Herget enjoys reading, sewing, swimming and a good laugh.
