To help students feel comfortable with the Spanish language, to introduce them to the richness of the Spanish speaking world, and have to fun.
Spanish 3
GRADES 10 - 12
Credit: 1 (5/A Grading for Upper Classmen) • Full Year
Prerequisites: Above average ability; good/excellent English skills; successful completion of Spanish II with a grade of “C” or better
Following a review, students in Spanish III will continue where they left off in Spanish II. There will be a much stronger emphasis on speaking (presentations) and writing (essays) skills. Students will also be reading short stories and/or novels and studying historical aspects of various regions.

Prerequisites: Above average ability; good/excellent English skills; successful completion of Spanish III with a grade of “B” or better
Students continue to progress in speaking, reading, and writing the language. The course is cumulative with new materials built on the foundation of previously presented material. It requires a very high and consistent level of applied study and demands mastery and retention of material. Students will be expected to keep journals, write essays, give presentations, read books and create projects based on various topics.

Spanish IV with a grade of “B” or better
