PRE-ALGEBRA GRADES 9 - 11

Prerequisites: None
This course will focus on basic math skills: operations with whole numbers, decimals, fractions, percentages and first-degree equations. Topics will include graphing on the coordinate plane, use of a calculator, data analysis, basic geometric figures, measurement, and word problem strategies. Pre-Algebra is designed to lay a foundation for success in Algebra and Geometry later in the student’s high school career.
Married 16 years with 2 children. Certified language arts/math teacher. Runs a home business.
Hobbies include running, painting, botany, and studying ways of enhancing the survival of unweaned kittens with no mother.
Senior Class Cosponsor. Coordinates the concessions at certain basketball games. Will be a chaperone on the senior trip. Has also helped at football concessions, decorated for the Grand March and chaperoned prom.
